CHEESE LABELS in ONTARIO MISLEADING

Ontario Govt permits cheese to be labelled "EDAM"  "HAVARTI"  "SWISS" et al but made in Canada.or USA.

The words "STYLE" or "FLAVOUR" are allowed to be omitted.

Cheaper than imported cheese.from Europe.

Check origin of cheese before buying.

This is more of a problem in food chains. Special cheese shops avoid this`deception.

Danish-American firm ARLA makes good cheap substitutes of classic European cheeses..
